Matrix Technologies provided the control system for a retrofit of a two-strand slab caster, which was completely installed and commissioned without any extended outages.

Matrix Technologies utilized the 3D design package to generate over 9,000 detailed piping drawings for a new mini-mill, with complete automated interference checking, bills of material, and cross-referencing. The package detected a number of interferences in the proposed design before field construction, saving countless dollars in construction errors and rework.

Matrix Technologies automated the complete sequence of unloading a strip coiler, including shearing, banding, mandrel stripping, and coil car movement. This replaced the manual operation requiring over fifty push-buttons and lights.
